Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 14, 2026. This page explains what personal information Zaahr Inc. collects, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to the website at zaahr.com and to interactions with Zaahr Inc. directly. Each Zaahr software product has its own privacy policy that governs that product's data handling.

The short version
- zaahr.com does not use cookies, analytics, advertising scripts, or tracking pixels.
- We do not sell or rent personal information. Ever.
- The only personal information we routinely collect through this website is what your browser sends automatically with every web request (IP, user-agent, the page requested, timestamp), which our hosting provider Cloudflare logs for short periods for security and operational reasons.
- If you email us, we keep that correspondence so we can respond and maintain useful history.
- Each Zaahr software product publishes its own privacy policy that explains what that product collects.
Information we collect on zaahr.com
This website is a marketing site. You can browse it without an account. We collect only two categories of information:
- Standard request logs — IP address, user-agent string, referring page, request path, timestamp, and HTTP status. These are recorded by our edge provider (Cloudflare) for security (rate limiting, abuse detection, DDoS mitigation) and operational diagnostics. They are not joined with any other dataset and are retained for short periods per Cloudflare's retention defaults.
- Information you give us by email — your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We retain that correspondence as long as needed to respond and keep a useful history.
We do not set first-party cookies on this site, and we do not embed third-party scripts that would set cookies on your behalf.
Information our products collect
Each Zaahr product has its own privacy policy, published on that product's website, which controls for that product. As a company-wide default, our products are designed to be local-first: where the data model allows it, your activity and content stay on your device and are not transmitted to us. Any network calls a product makes — for example, software-update checks or license validation — are documented in the corresponding product privacy policy.
Service providers we use
We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the website and the company. These providers process personal information only on our behalf and only to deliver the service contracted:
- Cloudflare, Inc.
- Website hosting (Workers), DNS, TLS, and edge security. Processes standard request logs (IP, user-agent, path, timestamp). Operates in the United States and on a global edge network.
- Cloudflare Email Routing
- Inbound routing of mail addressed to admin@zaahr.com. Processes the email envelope, headers, and message body. Operates in the United States and on a global edge network.
- GitHub, Inc.
- Source code hosting for this website and our products. Not generally personal-data-bearing; commit metadata may include names and emails of contributors. Operates in the United States.
Where personal information is processed outside Canada (for example by the providers above, most of which operate in the United States), it may be subject to foreign laws, including lawful access requests. We use contractual and technical measures to maintain a comparable level of protection.
How we use the information we collect
- To operate, secure, and improve zaahr.com and our software products.
- To respond to questions, support requests, and other correspondence sent to us.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- To comply with our legal obligations and to enforce our terms.
We do not use personal information for behavioural advertising or profiling, and we do not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration.
Lawful basis (for EEA / UK visitors)
For visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our lawful basis for the limited processing described above is our legitimate interests in operating and securing a public marketing site and responding to people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR / UK GDPR), and where applicable, compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
Retention
- Edge request logs — retained by Cloudflare per its standard retention windows (typically days, not months) and then discarded.
- Email correspondence — retained for as long as the conversation is useful, and afterward only as needed to comply with legal obligations or to defend legal claims.
- Records related to our corporate or tax obligations — retained for the periods required by Canadian federal and Ontario law.
Cookies and tracking
zaahr.com does not set cookies, does not use browser local-storage for tracking, does not embed analytics scripts, and does not load third-party advertising or social-widget scripts. We respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track (DNT) signals; because we do not track in the first place, there is nothing to opt out of.
Security
We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved. Examples include HTTPS for all traffic, HSTS, strict transport security headers, vendor selection that meets recognized security standards, and the principle of collecting as little personal information as possible.
Children
zaahr.com is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please email us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy of it.
- Have inaccurate personal information corrected.
- Withdraw consent where we rely on consent (this does not affect prior processing).
- Have personal information deleted, subject to legal exceptions.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Lodge a complaint with the regulator in your jurisdiction.
To exercise these rights, email admin@zaahr.com. We will respond within thirty days, or sooner where required.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint:
- Canada: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, priv.gc.ca.

California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of certain sensitive personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise CCPA/CPRA rights, email admin@zaahr.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request.”

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on this page for a reasonable period after they take effect.
